The D’Alesio Group announces the entry into service of the Motor Vessel Ardenza, the new double hull tanker (therefore already compliant with the new EU and IMO regulations that forbid, from 2010 the circulation of ships with a single hull) has been made a part of the fleet of the Company from Livorno.
With a 15.990 dwt tonnage and suitable for transporting fuel and chemical products, the Motor Vessel Ardenza has been built in compliance with the international standards of the sector not only respecting the regulations of the IMO, the UN of the sea, such as Marpol and Solas conventions, but also the very high standards of the oil and chemical majors, up to obtaining the Rina Green Star classification (the certification that proves that the ship has been designed, built and managed according to the standards that ensure the maximum respect for the environment).
The construction of the Ardenza, built in the Turkish shipyard of Gemak, falls within the D’Alesio Groups consolidation strategy within the ship owners market through the operation of ships that are able to comply with all the security standards imposed by the new international regulations, with the goal to have by 2011 a total fleet of 16 vessels, continuing with a progressive decommissioning of the ships that have more than 15 years of service.
