Naming ceremony of the new vessel ARDENZA |

At the naval shipyard of Gemak, just outside Istanbul, Tuesday the 3rd of February the handing over ceremony took place of the new giant of the seas that has become part of the Livorno navigational company’s fleet, at the presence of all the D’Alesio family, of the company’s managers and of the representatives of Livorno’s Coast Guard and ENI, the company that has chartered the vessel and for whom the Ardenza has immediately gone into service.
The handing over ceremony – that saw the presence of the entire D’Alesio family starting with the Nello brothers (with their wives) and Antonio D’Alesio, at the helm of the company for more than forty years; the respective children representing the third D’Alesio generation, who have been part of the management group for more than a decade: Gaetano, Antonio jr, Mauro, Francesco and Elisa (with her husband and son); the technical manager David Fiorentini, who personally followed all the construction phases of the ship, and the Person in Charge of Quality, Safety and the Environment, Roberto Nulli Gabbiani – had as special patroness Valentina along with little Alberto, wife and son of Francesco D’Alesio
The Master of the new motor vessel Alessandro Bianciardi and the Chief Engineer Mauro Altomare also took part in the ceremony (who in the last months, before the handing over, personally followed the development of the fitting out of the ship), along with the Technical Supervisor Roberto Mazza and the Safety Supervisor Vincenzo Guadascione.
Immediately after the ceremony, the Ardenza undertook the ENI time charter inaugural voyage towards Augusta for bunkering and for its first operational navigation Milazzo – Ortona.
