D'Alesio Group

October 2010 - The D’Alesio Group has been chosen as the Tanker operator of the year  in the sought after prestigious Lloyds List Italian Shipping Awards 2010.  The shipping company from Livorno has been recognized as the leader in its field for 2010. 

The Italian Shipping Awards -  at the second edition and promoted by Lloyds List  with the patronage of Confitarma, Federagenti, Assorimorchiatori, Federazione del Mare, Assoporti, the Coast Guard, Wista, Aipam and the Merchant Navy Italian Academy– are assigned to recognize the excellence of the Italian maritime industry, to identify quality and success reached in the different sectors and to promote the role played by the companies both in International trade and for the vital contribution to the National economy. 

The important recognition has been awarded to the D’Alesio Group, in the Tanker operator category, by an independent jury composed of a vast and transversal representation of the Italian and International shipping and ports community and by impartial experts of this sector.

At the awards ceremony, that took place on Thursday 21 October at the Maritime Terminal “Ponte dei Mille”, the main representatives for the Italian and International maritime community were present,  Nello D’Alesio attended, who with his brother Antonio  have been at the helm of the company for more than forty years, his son Antonio Jr  and his grandson Gaetano with their respective wives, who accepted the sought after award on behalf of the entire Company.
