D'Alesio Group

On February the 24th took place the Ceremony for the naming of Livorno street in memory of Mr Gaetano D’Alesio.

The street between Luigi Orlando Square and Scali Novi Lena, beside the historical Palazzo Direzionale of Orlando Dockyard was given the name of Gaetano D’Alesio, the founder of D’Alesio Group.
It is a revealing place as several company ships were delivered from the Dockyard, such as M/T Francesco D'Alesio,  M/T Liliana D'Alesio and M/T Calafuria.

In addition to all D’Alesio family, the ceremony was attended by several Port Authority Representatives, The Major Alessandro Cosimi and his Municipal Councillor for Culture Mario Tredici. The Major stressed the concept that there is no future for a town having no memory of its past. That is why it was chosen to remember Mr Gaetano D'Alesio who left his community such an important trace of his life-long commitment to work.
